Supply List- Textile Inspirations –Stripe Blends Gone Wild 
 
A polymer clay work surface
A pasta machine (prefer six inch model if you have both sizes)
Cutting blade
Burnisher- either bone folder, tablespoon or door knob style
A selection of clay cutters (If you already own them) circles, hearts, ovals and/or squares
 A selection of findings = dozen pin backs, six head pins, six ear wires and barrette backs
 (if you or someone on your gift list has long hair)
 
Clay
 
Choose the brand you already use (if you don’t have a preference then I would recommend Preemo)
– FIMO Classic, Kato Clay or Preemo (Sculpey three, FIMO soft and Cernit are NOT recommended.
 
Chose one combination from the following list
 
 
Bright Vibrant Purples
 
2 oz, Fuchsia or Magenta
4 oz, Cadmium Yellow
2 oz, Ultramarine blue
2 oz, White
2oz. Black
1lb of scrap (If you don’t have “scrap” – bring black or perhaps a brick of a color that you have on hand
 
The Crayola Primaries
 
2 oz, Red or Cadmium red  OR  1 ounce cadmium red mixed with 1 ounce Fuchsia
4 oz. Yellow cadmium or zinc
2 oz, Cobalt Blue
2 oz. White
2 oz. Black
1lb of scrap (If you don’t have “scrap” – bring black or perhaps a brick of a color that you have on hand
 
Softer Colors
 
2 oz, Fuchsia or Magenta
4 Oz. Yellow cadmium or zinc or a combination of the two
2 oz, Turquoise
2 oz, white
2oz, black
1lb of scrap (If you don’t have “scrap” – bring black or perhaps a brick of a color that you have on hand
 
Metallics
 
2 oz, Red Pearl
2 oz, Yellow
2 oz, gold
2 oz, Blue pearl
2 oz, white pearl
2 oz, black
1lb of scrap (If you don’t have “scrap” – bring black or perhaps a brick of a color that you have on hand
 
NOTE: Please take the time to condition your clay and sheet it out on the thickest setting of your pasta machine,
not only does this save time in class...it allows you much more time to explore all the different variations of
the textile Inspirations that will be presented. It sounds like “lots” of scrap clay- this will be used to maximize
your skinny skinners and backing sheets for your completed pieces.
