Make sure you tell them you are booking for Sandy Camp.
Prepare yourself!! It's Sandy Camp time again!!

Your calendars need to be marked for Wednesday Sept. 7 through Sunday Sept. 11, 2005. As always, you can come for any or all of that time.

We will be having our retreat at our favorite spot: Warner Springs Ranch. This lovely facility is located 80 miles north of San Diego, just outside of Julian. You can check out their facility at their website. This is convenient for all of Southern California as well as the southwest US.  Again this year, we will be using a huge tent that they have  added to their facility, as well as a 20X20 foot add-on tent for the demo area and for serving food for the Family Feast. There will be fans in the tent for the warm parts of the day.  We will have a consignment store again this year but it will  be in the Ortega Room in the Lodge.

Rooms cost $98.10 per night. Rooms sleep 3 comfortably. If you want a 4th, contact WSR and they will bring a rollaway bed. (An air mattress may be a good idea) Dorm size fridges in most rooms will hold your cold drinks. You may choose to bring an ice chest for sandwiches and salad fixins. There is a small convenience store across from the ranch, but their selection is limited and they close around 5 pm, so prepare to bring cold foods.
Coffee, Hot Water, Tea bags and fixings
are available free in the lounge.
Registration cost for this wonderful adventure is: SDPCG members $35; Non-members $45 (which will include guild membership for the remainder of 2005). This includes your work space, a new separate 20'X20'  tent for the demos and the "Family Feast" on Saturday night and access to our consignment store, which was quite a hit last year!

Mail your registration fees to

PLEASE NOTE:
Enrollment will be limited to 80 people this year, so
register early!!  If you don't get your registration in,
you may be too  late.  Now is the time to act on this!!

Please contact Warner Springs Ranch to book your room at groups@warnersprings.com and mention Sandy Camp to them.  The cost of the room is split among the occupants in the room- not per person, as in other facilities. So it will cost  $32.70 per night if you have three in the room.  The rooms are great, have a small refrigerator and  fireplaces for that cozy feeling! If you want a specific person in the adjoining room, mention that when you register with WSR and they will try to accommodate you.

One change from previous years is that you will be required to pay for your full stay when you make your reservation at WSR this year and you will need to give WSR 14 days notice if you decide to cancel.  You WILL be charged for the number of nights you register for.  If you cancel more than 14 days before the deadline, they will still charge you for one night's stay. Your credit card will be charged 60 days before Sandy Camp, or around July 7th. Reservations must be made by August 1st.  After that date WSR cannot guarantee that there will be a room available for you.

Please note that registration with the guild does not reserve your room.

Gift Certificates are available for application towards GUILD registration fee (not WSR fees) or for use in Consignment Store. Certificates must be purchased prior to beginning of Sandy Camp.

Contact Ellie Hitchcock or Gail Woods for purchase or for more information.

ROOMMATES: If you don't know anyone who is going to Sandy Camp and need help with finding a roommate(s) email Patty Smith.  Patty has agreed to help connect people with roommates this year.  Once she connects you, it is up to you to make the room arrangements with Warner Springs on your own.
