Artist Showcase

(Consignment Store)

Janet Pitcher and Kelly Steindorf will be organizing the Sandy Camp Consignment Store this year.  Since it will be in the Ortega Room in the Lodge (an air-conditioned room!), there will be much more room for displays.  You may reserve either a half table ($10 for 5 days!) or a full table, as space permits ($20 for 5 days!).  Also the guild will collect 10% of all sales.  This is the only place where selling will be permitted. For a download-able application, click here. Further information will be added, so check back often.

All paid attendees of Sandy Camp are invited to submit their handmade goods for sale in the consignment store. All merchandise must be accompanied by an inventory list. Available soon is a downloadable list to fill out. Forms will be available at meetings preceding camp for those without computer access. No merchandise may enter the store until this form is filled out and in possession of storekeepers.
Polymer clay and related products will be available for sale at the consignment store, but you can order ahead of time and have it shipped to WSR. Make sure your name is included in the shipping label, plus "Sandy Camp" and "Attention Jennifer".

Raffle:

Our “Raffle Queen” jjjami miller will again be running our annual raffles ("opportunity drawings"). If you are interested in donating anything to the "opportunity drawings”, please email Jami with your name and item descriptions.

Food:

Except for the Family Feast on Friday night, you are on your own for meals.  There is a very nice restaurant in the lodge (you need to make reservations) and also a coffee shop across the street at the golf course.  You may keep food in your room in the frig or a cooler, but absolutely no cooking in your room.. there is a $50 fine for doing so!!  There will be a microwave oven in the main tent for everyone to use. Bring snack food to add to the munchies table, also in the main tent.

Bottles of Hope:

We will have a “Bottles of Hope” challenge. We will have a variety of categories that you can enter your bottles into. We will be taking these polymer clay covered bottles as gifts to cancer patients at a local hospital where they go for their treatments,  so please be prepared to part with them. Patients really appreciate the little gift after going through their chemo or radiation.  We will supply the bottles for you to cover. Winners will be announced immediately following the “Family Feast” on Saturday night. Hava Eisenson will be our Challenge Coordinator.

  Demonstrations

We are lucky to have demos every day at Sandy Camp.

A Few Rules
  • Sorry, no pasta machine motors in the tent. You can use them outside or in your room.  If you use them in your room we request that you observe some motorized pasta machine etiquette: check with your neighbor and roommates to be sure it's okay (some folks may need an afternoon nap) and be considerate about the time of day you use it.  Remember that WSR expects quiet time after 10 p.m..
  • NO cooking is allowed in rooms due to fire danger. This includes slow cookers and microwaves. There is an excellent restaurant at the ranch and a cafe across the street at the golf course for times when you want a hot meal. You will be charged a fine if any cooking utensils are found in your room. With the fires of recent years, we can all understand this precaution.

Anyone who arrives early should be advised that this year the staff will only honor requests if they go through either Gail Woods or Ellie Hitchcock, your Sandy Camp Co-Chairs. So, if something needs to be adjusted or changed in the tent area, if there's a problem, seek out one of the co-chairs.  This is a request from the Warner Springs Ranch staff. If you have any questions feel free to email either Ellie at or Gail.
