Sandy Camp Demo Schedule

And Supplies List

Thursday

Demo 1  Lee Kellogg  Stamping 101 and ink pads galore

"Since I am demoing ink pads and stamps, I'll bring stamps for sale and a small selection of ink pads."

Demo 2  Carol Blackburn  The fine art of backfilling

"I'll be using a ripple blade and some wet/dry sandpaper, but there isn't really anything special that's needed."

Demo 3  Dawn Schiller Footed votives (we have arranged to have votive holders in the store)

"Clay, a votive, a manicure stick and A Sense of the Ridiculous"

Demo 4 Carolyn Potter How to make a fantastic little altar, with a transfer technique that is a great Christmas gift (for those of you thinking ahead already!)

Bring gold, black and translucent clay. Carolyn will provide transfer images and rubbing alcohol.

Friday

Demo 5  Susan Berkowitz  Tempera crackle and rocky raku

"We're not gonna bother selling tempera paint in the store, but I will buy a large bottle and bring. Clay and a rubber stamp are all else that's needed for the crackle part of the demo. Then the Kato Liquid Medium and Repel Gel for the raku part-Kelly says these will be available in the store."

Demo 6  Dotty McMillan
Creating transfers using paper, cotton, silk, linen and more.

"Bring basic clay tools plus a small pack of white clay, or ecru, champagne or even gold. White, however, works best. I will bring some already printed transfers for everyone to use plus a handout."

Demo 7  Lisa Pavelka  Foil resist
"As for the demos, no one needs anything special. All they need is clay of their choice, black or colored to go along with it, rolled out on any thickness of the pasta machine for  the faux dichroic, and white, pearl or gold clay for the transfers, also rolled out, and a cup of water. Clay blade or craft knife. I'll supply the rest."

Demo 8  Lisa Pavelka  Subsurface treatment for image transfers

See above

Demo 9  syndee holt  Sculpey Lite and Pearl-Ex  varnishes - exciting new product demos
"Not much to bring for my demo, except maybe gold Premo and bracelet elastic. They can bring me their problem photos on disc or CD for our demonstration on the computer.

Sunday

Demo 10  Kathy Spignese  Raku leaves

Pasta Machine-Scrap Clay for making leaf mold-Leaves with strong vein patterns (geraniums work relly well)-Acrylic roller-X-acto knife-Tissue blade-Various colored Pearl Ex powders (I think Perfect Pearl Powders will work as well and may be better because of the resins bonding the powder to clay)-Scotch Brite pad (these are rough green scrubbing pads for your pots and pans)-Black clay for leaves-Glossy Sculpey Glaze (optional; it makes leaves look more metallic and seals the powders in)
